Staff overworked and underpaid. Staff shortage means bad care for patients .

Staff abuse as evidenced by staff shortage and lack of adequate supplies to cater for the patients. Premium is placed on profit over good care.

Reviewer is in unhappy mood. Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss poor customer service of the ensign group customer care. The Ensign Group needs to read this review and look into the issue (if any) according to poster's claims.

Thank you for your comment. However, the stafffing comment is not only inaccurate, it's slanderous and unfair to the good people that try so hard at this operation.

Our leaders simply don't run staffing ratios that you are reporting. It's therefore very disappointing that you feel compelled to make a statement like this. I feel bad you didn't have a good experience, please don't report inaccuracies in bitterness. By the way, you're not even counting the licensed management staff that are involved in patient care.

That alone should be reflected in your report. Complaining about your experience is ok...it's on the leadership to ensure every employee has a good experience. And in that, there was clearly some failure.

For that, I hope you know how regretful we are. You deserve better.

Ensign group owns a few places in Abilene TX. The DON at that facility, is one of those that thinks she knows everything.

She passes her work off to everyone else, she was hired as DON, before she ever received her RN degree. She has made that facility go down very much. The facility lost several good nurses and CNA's, due to the DON has no respect for anyone, other than herself. She wants to run everything, and she can't even do her job.

She is worse than a teenager, she talks bad about staff behind their back, but it all loving to their face. She doesn't know anything about the patients, and sits in her office on her behind all day. Unless corporate or state is on the premises.

There have been several complaints on her, but Ensign just let's them go and doesn't even investigate. She will cause the facility to close it's doors, and there will be a lot of patients looking for other places to go.
